I have lived my entire life in the Midwest which allows me to leave the confines of City boundries and quickly be surrounded by a Rural landscape. This landscape features four seasonal changes to it's appearance, which leaves me with a sense of urgency to paint the scene before it's changed once more.

Painting outdoors is refreshing and provides me an escape from the confines of the studio and home. I use my studies done at the site and combine them with photographic references to produce larger studio paintings.

What I want to convey, is that the Midwest is a beautiful place to live, and the best way I can show that is through my Artwork.
